Velvet Merkin in Mass?

I picked up a bottle last night a Gordon's in Waltham, prolly gone by now though.

 

Rec'd email from Gordon's ~6:45pm, called ~8pm and it was gone.

 

That is early. I remember picking up a bottle around Thanksgiving last year.

 

Wow, it was released at the brewery on Monday... we usually have about 4 weeks of lead time before it hits MA. I hope i didnt miss out totally.

 

We're tapping a keg of Velvet Merkin at Meadhall on Saturday evening, as part of our Allagash vs. Firestone Walker Battle of the Barrels.

 

Got a bottle at nine east wine emporium in natick. They had about 5 left. They also had lunch so good trip for me

Picked up a bottle at Ball Square Fine Wines yesterday. Nate said they were going pretty slowly, so there might still be some kicking around.

 

Interesting...may be useful to wash all that lambic out of my system from Zwanze day.

 

It was in street car on friday. I passed on it because they also had cans of morph and fresh 4 packs of FBS and I couldn't justify buying all 3.

 

Found one today at Ryan and Casey in Greenfield. $16.

 

Had it at Blanchards in JP last night. 2 bottles left that I saw, $17 each.

 

High Spirits in Providence yesterday at $19. They had them behind the counter, so you've got to ask. Or call ahead.

 

Gotta say this was one of the most disappointing "limited" beers I have ever had. I know its not the exact same style but it just tastes like a watered down Jacks Abby Framinghammer at over 2x the price.

 

Seen 3 at Busa Wine and Spirits in Burlington, MA Saturday night for $18
