    Will all Bevmo's get more?? Would be nice for Encinitas to get more so I could go there. .

    Not sure. I thought it all hit already so imagine my surprise! This beer has been one of my greatest wants for about 3 years. I will report back tonight what I though.

    I have to say this beer lived up to my high expectations. Perfectly balanced and a great BA Stout. Reading through reviews was kinda funny though to see people say it is "thin". They must be drinking a different beer.

    I agree with that assessment, but that's the comparison people are making.

    Just wait for the Abacus versus Stickee Monkee comparisons.

    Those are bound to pop up.

    I for one would like to see 4pks of Velvet Merkin. They could call it PSA (Parabola Session Ale)!!

    Trader Joe's had Merkin?

    I've never seen any of the brown box stuff at the La Jolla TJs (even the easy-to-find DDBA), but even if it did show up it would go within minutes - that TJs is just too damned busy, and gets way too many beer geeks shopping there to let something like that go unnoticed.

    I found DDBA at Vons in La Costa last week. Grabbed a bottle at $13.99. Now I find myself walking in every day to see if Merkin makes an appearance. lol
