If anyone is interested, at Palm Liquor in La mesa this beer was on the shelf at 12 today. Looked like there were at least 4 more bottles or so. 14.99.

Much of the craft beer target audience isn't seeing that billboard, but I was sort of joking. People have been talking about this "hidden gem" for years; it's hardly a secret.

If the site was called beerhoarder.com I wouldn't have posted it. Just trying to spread the love and advocacy.

I honestly never went until I saw the sign coming back from Cuyamaca a while back. Drove by it a once or twice going to Carnitas Urapan. And I've seen it mentioned on here. But never had the desire to go and look, from the outside it truly is a hidden gem.

I dunno; I think sometimes publicizing the location of a gem often favors the hoarders more than it does the masses.

A couple years ago Palm Springs and Windy City had some awesome hidden gems on their shelves. I bought 2-3 Consecration 750s (batch 002) from Windy City for $20-22 a bottle in late 2011/early 2012.

Tried Merkin for the first time this weekend and was really impressed. Found it at Keg n Bottle in Clairemont, but they only had one bottle. Any ideas where I can pick up another bottle or two tomorrow? Thanks.

G'Day, do you think there's any chance I can get some Velvet Merkin in two weeks in San Diego??

I'm visiting from México and I'd love to bring one to share with my tasting group. If anyone is interested to do an IP trade for some mexican crafts let me know.

    Cheers

I'd go to the firestone walker website and click on "firestone finder"…enter the ZIP code where you will be at and the specific beer you want and it will give you a list of nearby shops that carry firestone. Than you can just call around or stop by.
