VERACIOUS Brewing in CT Closing In May

    Not sure if this has been posted, but Veracious Brewing in Monroe, CT is closing this month. I spent many a day there drinking beer and hanging out.

    Mark and Tess, the owners of Veracious, are well known to the home brew crowd in CT. They owned Maltose Express, a home brew supply store, for many years.

    There are several breweries in the area:
    Reverie in Newtown
    NewSylum in Newtown
    Berlinetta in Bridgeport
    Aspetuck in Bridgeport
    ...and some others

    Thanks. I grew up in Guilford but typically go to NEBCO and Fox Farm when I’m back in the area.
    Looking to try out some additional places.

    Im a fan of Nod Hill Brewing, about 35 minutes west of Monroe.
    Not a hyped brewery or IPA factory and pretty solid beers.
    I actually havent been to the other suggestions above, but have heard decent things about Newsylum.
