I snagged a case for myself (oink) due to the super high ratings. I got back to the cabin 5 hours latter, tossed one in the freezer and was totally blown away by the flavor. One of the finest IPAs I have had the pleasure to enjoy. It tasted so incredibly fresh I checked the date and found that it was canned the morning I purchased it and drank it. It does not get any better than that.

This seems like a proper thread, so not to start a new one.

What are the one or two good places/stores along I91 to buy a good variety of VT beers to go? I won't have a chance to venture far off, so ideally it should be within a hop-off distance from 91. If there is such a store. If not, which ones I should visit if I have to drive further away?

And while we're at it, what is a good place to stop for a quick bite?

    Thanks in advance.

Brattleboro Food Coop at exit 3, with Whetstone Station catty-corner across the street for food.

Big Fatty's BBQ off exit 11 in White River Junction includes a reasonably-excellent bottle shop attached to the premises with River Roost directly across the parking lot.

    Thanks a lot!

If you know, are there any worthy places for whisky/hard liquor, along the same route? Thanks again.

Bars, I don't know. There's a NH State Liquor Store right off exit 3 (really is exit 3 this time) - take Route 9 over the Connecticut River bridge and it's right there. Always buy your liquor in New Hampshire. It's cheaper and keeps me from having to pay income taxes.

I’m heading up to Jay Peak (from south of Boston) on 12/27 for 5 days. Looks like hitting HF on the way up adds an hour. Can’t do that as our 4.5 hour drive is already pushing it w two kids.

Hoping to make a side trip on Saturday.

Does anyone know what beers are available around Jay?

I feel like I should be getting kickbacks from Big Fatty's and River Roost at this point but, anyway, presumably you'll be going through White River Junction, right?

There are a usually a couple of HF brews on tap at Big Fatty's...

No idea what's around Jay for beer bars, though. Personally, I'd do a side trip to Brasserie Dunham but that's even a little further than Hill Farmstead.

He’s probably going 93 all the way up to 91, so WRJ would be quite the detour. I’d say hit Kettlehead in Tilton and then Schilling in Littleton. More than enough options to keep you happy for 5 days.

I know NHLC; I live in MA. In VT was hoping for more eclectic stuff, since it's not state owned. It's not, is it? So I'm always looking for the smaller, non-distinctive liquor stores.

Liquor is state controlled in vt too That is why all liquor is rang up on a separate cash register.
