    Hey all -

Want to plan a VT trip with the girlfriend for a weekend soon. Don't want it to be TOTALLY about beer (she loves it, but it's not her ideal situation), and want to plan it out nice.

-I'd like to hit Waterbury to do Prohibition Pig
-Hill Farmstead potentially...I know there are other threads out there on what days/hours are busiest, etc. I'd be looking to go on a Saturday early.
-I'd like to hit Burlington...just not sure where to go/eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner/drinks etc.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated!

    cheers
    Jeremy

Additionally, any breweries/bottle shops in the area that I should hit would be great. Right now I just know of Fiddlehead and Zero Gravity, and I have no idea about bottle shops.

there's lots of threads to answer all your questions, not just those surrounding HF.

My opinion is HF is a great destination, a beer Mecca, but it will take the better part of half a day to do. If you're trying to make your trip as GF friendly as possible, I'd skip it (then do it later with beer buddies if you have some)

If you want to score points, Hotel VT in Burlington is the classiest hotel in VT. Stay there and dine at one of their 3 fine restaurants: Juniper, Hen of the Wood or Bleu. Farmhouse Table is also worthwhile. If you dont want to stay in Burlington, yet still score points, Green Mountain Inn in Stowe is super nice too. Get a room with a jacuzzi. Nudge nudge wink wink. Stowe has a really fine trail system to either hike or bike. Take a drive up through Smuggler's Notch. Magical, surreal, landscape! Go to the Trapp family lodge for luch. Have dinner at Hen of the Wood in Waterbury, then do Pro Pig or Blackback for beer. Pro Pig has food that's pretty good but I wouldnt really call it "special". More like really solid pub grub.

but mostly, just do a search for VT. There's dozens of threads with all the answers you seek
