The wife and I are planning on coming up to visit family for labor day weekend and I have 2 scenario questions:

    1) If I get to the Warren store around 10am on Thursday for SOS and drive up to Montpelier Discount Beverage or Hunger Mountain at 11am, will I have any luck at picking up Heady on the way to HF? I am not looking for a case but there will be 2 of us so 3-4 4 packs would be perfect.

    2) Also, how long does SOS usually last in the Summer at the Warren store or surrounding area? I might have to switch my day to Friday, but I would be getting there early in the morning so I could get to Stowe/Waterbury for the Friday heady delivery.

I am sure you guys are sick of answering these types of questions, but I really do appreciate any and all help you give.

Hang out around Waterbury and Burlington. Enjoy some of the other very good breweries offerings - places like Lost Nation and Zero Gravity are doing great things.

Rather than start ANOTHER new thread and bother you regulars with same old, same old, I just wanted to bump this for some specific questions I couldn't find answers to.

I'll be coming up from NYC for my bachelor party (hooray . . . yikes) on Thursday the 27th, staying in Stowe. It's a 5-6 hour ride, so leaving at 8am will get us there around 1-2pm. If we try to go right to the Warren Store, would we be able to get some Lawsons? What's the usual timing on it? I wouldn't want to go so "far" out of the way if we're going to strike out anyway. Also, for those who have gone recently, what have they been delivering, just SoS? We're going to hit up Stowe stores for HT Friday morning before heading to HF for growlers/bottles and that seems pretty self-explanatory on what to do, the Lawsons is the only thing I'm not sure about.

    Appreciate the advice in advance.

only done the VT thing a couple times...but here's my $0.02

The Warren Store is high risk/high reward. I was laughed at showing up 10 minutes after the delivery when I tried last year.

On the other hand, Hunger Mtn Co-Op, with the 1 - 4pack limit seemed to be a pretty good option for Lawsons. Heady flew (an early Heady delivery had us missing the truck by 45 minutes, and the Heady by probably 44) due to the case limit, but Lawsons was in good supply as the folks at HM kept bringing out cases of Lawsons out.

I went to Hunger Mountain on Aug 6th for a case of HT. Got there at 7:15 and was number 50 in line. The line grew much bigger soon after and they sold out of HT just after 8:00.

I then went straight to The Warren Store (about 25 min away) and was able to get a case of SOS. The truck had already come and gone. The guy mentioned they usually have a 2 4pk limit, but they got a bigger than normal delivery that day.

The guy at Hunger Mountain also said their Lawsons delivery comes sometime after 12:00, but said no exact time.

Lawson's usually is released at Warren Store at 10:00 am on Thursday. Lawson's Facebook page is the best place to find out which beer they are releasing in a given week.
