You really think that makes a difference, the brewery is on the major route to Stowe and not far from Bolton Valley, Sugarbush and Mad River Glenn & Cocran's. There are ton's of skiers with 4WD here every weekend all winter.

Oh yeah, I wasn't thinking clearly.

Retail Locations should have it, some limit it, but saturday morning you would find some on the shelf in Waitsfield and Warren. As others have said the cannery may well be out by then.

I'm pretty sure Alchemist has no limits. I was up there in August with Urbancaver when he bought 11 cases.

Alchemist: "Pretty sure you broke the record with most cases bought this time"
Urbancaver: "Oh yeah, who's record did I break?"
Alchemist: "Your own from last time!"

Things have changed, limits do exist. Since you don't believe it I would suggest you contact the brewery directly.

Limits exist sporadically based on current inventory, how busy it has been, what day it is and what the people at the alchemist feel like doing on that particular day.

So, some days you can totally go and pick up 10+ cases, other days you're going to be limited to 2 per person. If planning a commercial grade haul like that, I'd call ahead and make sure there's no limits that day!

Last Friday, my exchange at the front desk in the store went: "Hi, how many cases of Heady Topper can I buy?"
The woman at the counter got on the phone and asked someone "Are we limiting purchases yet? No. Thanks"

I bought 4 case which in retrospect was not nearly enough.

The state liquor store in Stowe (about 20 min drive from the brewery) always has Heady. I go in there every other week or so, and never seen them sold out of HT.

When my aunt brought me a 4 pack this summer she said it had to stay refridgerated. Is that the case? Going up in a few weeks and want to buy more than a case, but there is only so much room in the beer fridge. Ideas? Can I store some in the basement?

I remember an announcement this summer that they were going to double production by the fall. Did that happen?

I am going up there next month and contacted them about limits as a lot of people wanted me to pick them up some. Their reply was "No limit as long as it is reasonable (we do not like to sell more than 6 cases to one person). We understand people stock up and share the driving."

Just to be clear ... there was definitively a 2 case limit (I was there, it was posted on the door) on Friday 9/28 so don't take the previous post as gospel. My understanding is the answer to a limit varies based on supply.

I'm pretty sure they're still working on the brewery enhancements. I haven't seen or heard anything about the construction work being finished.

They are hoping to be done by the end of November, I believe, but we all know how renovations and expansions go. The important thing is that they're working on it and it WILL be finished, at some point in the near future!

I'm heading up in a few weeks as a side trip to see my son stationed in Ft Drum NY. Alchemist limits on Fri and weekends depending on availability. Best days are Monday and Thurs which are canning days, I called and talked to the ladies there, both have been very helpful.

Looking on ideas as to places to stay within walking distance of Prohibition Pig and the downtown bars. Stagecoach was mentioned, any others?

There is a Best Western in Waterbury. It would be a bit of a walk down Stowe St (could be pretty rough if it is below 30 degrees), but I know people do it.

Thank you. I found the post I was looking for and I booked at Stagecoach, and can walk most anywhere.

Being I'll be in VT on a Monday only is there a place to get Lawsons? I called the Warren Store and they only get a Thurs delivery, so that's out and they obviously won't hold bottles.
