So I have a 4 year Darkness vertical that I have been looking to trade, I have listed it twice and have gotten only 2 people interested since I put it up. I am not really asking for anything ridiculously rare, some of it is shelf stuff and mostly not brewery only stuff. I know people love vertical's, so I am just trying to get opinions, should I trade the whole vertical as a package or as individual bottles? Anyone with experience trading verticals, I would appreciate it.
Checked the post and I suspect your approach is the problem. You have about 15-20 beers listed and are looking for a "combo." Without any real information about how you value those beers, the onus is on the prospective trade partner to do all the work on relative rarity, $4$ considerations, etc. I look at those offers in one of two ways: - You're looking for a fair deal, but all of that work is exhausting. - You're hoping multiple offers roll in and you're gonna choose whoever comes heaviest. The ol' auction gray area. Either way I'm moving on and quickly. If your preference is to trade as a vertical, first thing I'd try is make your ISO more specific. State how many of those bottles you want. If the value varies, break them up into columns. I want X from Group A and X from Group B, etc. If you still get no bites, maybe the number of people who have that specific combo of bottles is too small and it's time to trade your bottles individually.
Feel free to reach out to me. I'd love to see if we could work something out if you haven't moved it yet.
