so, a good buddy was in town this past weekend, on a vacation from a two year contract he is currently locked into, working in saudi arabia. on his way home, he stopped in amsterdam, and brought back some westvleteren 12! so, from memory, friday night we had: -westvleteren 12 -trappists rochefort 10 -westvleteren 8 -bells cherry stout -boulevard tank 7 -allagash interlude 2012 -anderson valley wild turkey bourbon barrel stout -a growler of stone ruinten most of this was split between 5 of us, some only 4 of us. really great to try the westvleteren 12. he actually brought one to me, so i am gonna save it for a special occasion. on saturday, i got to try FW Double DBA 2012, which was great! then yesterday, some more ruinten, and a weyerbacher blasphemy with my brother in law. all in all, i am pleased with the the weekend! just wanted to share, hope everyone else enjoyed theirs as well!
Awesome! I also had a very successful consumption weekend. Not to the extent that you did, but by my own standards it was outstanding! Friday night I had BCBS, saturday I had coors light and mich goldy light, and on Sunday I got to try 3 different beers from Carton, and a DFH 120 minute!
I'm having "Consumption Monday". I see this as a trend and will move forward with it on Tuesday. Cherry Stout 3rd Coast Founder B-fast Stout Stone Saison NB Trippel and a Beer Camp box to be had.
mine wasnt bad either! i had old ruffian and carton boat beer on tap...then imperial stout trooper...then kbs on tap
Sounds awesome... and glad to hear your buddy is safe at home for now. Had a nice beer weekend too... Thirsty Dog BBA IS, Dorado DIPA, and Bell's Expedition on Saturday, and Citra-Hero, Rye Rebellion, and Dirt Wolf last night. Also tried some samples/sips of some local C-Bus OH beers like Jackie O's Oil of Aphrodite, Buckeye Lake Oatmeal Stout, and Seventh Son Wizard Arc. I love mini beer-cations. Last night here tonight (with babysitters), so back out to the awesome local craft bar.
I was tailgating solo near Detroit for NIN/Soundgarden on Saturday, and had myself a Petrus Aged Ale, DT, Coors, 2 Hearted, and pounded a 2013 BCBS as I walked to the gate.
Now when I don't feel like drinking [yes, it happens], I'll just say I'm consumption challenged. Brilliant!!

hope the show was good! i saw NIN several years ago, not knowing much by them, and was blown away. they were a fantastic live show! also, sounds like the drinks were tasty as well.
Bro, my favorite band to see live. Hands down. (only because Pink Floyd stopped touring when I was 10, so never got the chance to see them). And yes, tasty drinks. Had an extra ticket and gave it to this older gentleman who didn't fail to supply me with unlimited tall boy bud lights all night long.
