One of my favorite beers of all time, can anyone explain why this imperial porter from Ballast Point has been MIA from the shelves (at least at stores in Central CT) for years now? Sculpin, Sea Monster and a few of there other standards are always around.

Available in MA, I typically grab a few bottles everytime I am there. There were definitely at least a few on the shelf at Julio's today. Maybe CT just isn't getting any distribution of it for some reason.

I was wondering about this myself. I always grab it when I go to NYC when I can, fantastic beer. I've also never seen Dorado Double in CT as well.

Agreed probably a distribution issue-I saw tons of it in VT last week...

Distribution issue. I was in San Diego last week and talked to them about this, they said they dont have enough production to ship every beer to every state. At the moment theyre concentrating most of the efforts to making enough Sculpin. That is what I was told

The only BP beers I ever see in CT are Big Eye (tons of the stuff), Sea Monster (decently available), the occasional four month+ old Sculpin or Calico Amber, and I've literally never seen Victory at Sea here. I bought a bottle once when I was in NY and that's the only time I've had it. A shame, because VaS is a fantastic brew.
