Is Texas getting ballast point victory at sea? Arguably their best beer...
Yes, I am interested as well. Let me know if you hear anything.
Read that. DFW and Corpus seem to be the only markets that even get Ballast Point.
That doesn't really say much. Just people complaining.
Sounds like they have it in DFW and sometimes Corpus.
I haven't seen any sightings posted though.
No label approval either.
I know we are getting kegs at least...Common Table is advertising having it on the 26th.
They must be pushing approval through now then. Good to know, thann you!
I saw last week that Ballast Point signed on with the same distributor as Sixpoint for the rest of Texas.
Which one is that, favorite?
Keg 1. Same distributor as Shiner in Austin. They kick veritable ass. Look at all the wonderful Sixpoint everywhere!
That's the one I was thinking of.
Pretty sure they don't do anything up in dfw.
Here's their locations: http://www.keg1llc.com/locations.html
Guessing they found another distributor for Houston/San Antonio... because they ONLY serve Central Texas (which is BEST Texas )
And Firestone-Walker is following in their foot steps.
Best Texas is allll of Texas!
I've seen SixPoint at some Kroger and HEB's... so that is a good sign.. would love to get some Victory at Sea!
So would the Houston Market. Just finished some Resin I picked up from
We've seen a couple random kegs of Sculpin in Houston...could have been some string pulling though. Just in case, I will leave out where they popped up, could be top secret info. lol
I saw Pinthouse posted that they're are going to have a Ballast Point release party. The lineup/date are still tbd, but hopefully some Victory at Sea will be included. Spoke with the Keg1 rep today and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about them getting some Ballast. As soon as they get everything sorted on their end we will definitely be getting some up at Banger's.
Unfortunately, getting distribution of a brewery does not mean getting all the special releases. Whether or not bars really network to get some is a different story. I don't see us seeing this in bottles though. I could only hope to be wrong.
