Meant to post this last week sometime, whoops. I'll be competing at Victory brewings Brewbq tomorrow (august 2nd) and was wondering if the were any bars our bottle shops that are a must go to in the area. The actual contest will be held about 20 minutes away from the brewery but since it seems like it's in the middle of nowhere I guess downingtown PA would be the point of reference. Was also wondering of there will be any other fellow BA's at the event.
Wegman's in Downingtown is decent, but not a ton of bottle shops. Side Bar is a bar in West Chester that has good bottles but you're paying bar prices. If you pass Norristown, Capone's is good, or Pinnochio's in Media. As far as bar's PJ Whelihans in Downingtown, and Pour House in Exton. But Side Bar in West Chester I think has best selection, plus Iron Hill Brewery is across the street to try also.
