    *Yawn*

More East Coasters thinking DirtWolf is the best DIPA known to man

It's good....but can't compete with the West Coast

I've been reluctant to try Gubna based on its reputation, but probably should one of these days just to see if it works with my palate or not.

I said it was the best bargain in beer, not the best double IPA known to man.
    Reading is fundamental.

They actually revamped the recipe. Very different from what it used to be. I say give it a try. I actually like it less but you may like it more.

I didn't quote you, nor direct my original response at you. Yet you assume I did.

    There's your complex.

If we're talking value, Torpedo all day long. And in cans too.

And I stand by my original post.

My personal upper tier (beers I really don't care what the cost is, I'll pay it) of brews like Heady, Pliny, Ruin10, HF Ephraim.

Dirt Wolf is in my second tier. Fantastic beer that I am blessed to be able to get easily here. God Bless you Victory!

I do love me some DW and usually end up buying one or two 4-packs every month. It's almost always fresh and it is a consistently delightful IIPA. I agree with a previous poster though, I'd throw Resin and 2xIPA from Sixpoint and Southern Tier respectively. Those frequent my fridge quite often as well. Troeggs Perpetual is also outstanding, but unfortunately they sit for a little longer than I'd like on shelves so I can only pick that up every one in a while; if it didn't sit for so long I'd definitely pick that up more often.

And sir Trojan I can't comment on West vs East, all I can say is I love both and I'd buy more west coast IPAs if they were fresher in this area but unfortunately it can be hard finding fresh west coast IPAs on the east. Although I'm currently drinking a fresh-ish Green Flash West Coast IPA and it is wonderful...

You stand by your original post that I said DirtWolf is the "best DIPA known to man?" Who in this entire thread said that?
I started this thread so I'm just checking. You're more stubborn than me.

Torpedo is a great beer and a great bargain, so I won't argue that. My preference is the DW but I could see why someone else would pick SNT.

Dirt wolf is definitely my go to recently. Always available fresh. Great price.

100% agree. Nothing I can think of as consistent, available, and inexpensive that is close to as good.

Lol this guy has crazy west coast pride when he has nothing to do with how good their beers are.....i bet u refer to ur favorite sports teams as "we" too..we get it, there are good beers being produced there...there are also good beers being produced on the east coast too...oh yea, and in the great lakes....and down south too....andddd everywhere else...

I'm gonna have to agree with the original post. When I go to stock up I usually get two mixed sixes of mostly beers I haven't tried yet and maybe one or two that I know I love. The other day though I just got one mixed six and a 4 pack of dirtwolf. Exceptional beer and value.

I've had a few Victorys and been happy with them. They don't have distro here so I can't attest to DW. If anyone wants to spread the love of a few DW's, I'll gladly return the favor with some Mothers Doozy (what I consider my local version of the best DIPA for the money).

..anyone, anywhere can brew a great IPA, and they do :stuck_out_tongue: There are just more breweries in California and Oregon. If anything, Heady Topper (Alchemist) getting/creating a yeast profile similar to the hop profile is likely the "next big thing", so I'd say they are "in the lead" right now.

Dirtwolf destroys SN Torpedo imo...remember guys taste is subjective though. Even if you dont love dirtwolf it's hard to discredit it or say it's overrated with the overwhelming positive response it has gotten, even from us harsh critics. Nobody really wins in a "what's better fight"

    A-fuckin-Men.
I never understand preference arguments. He wants to state Torpedo is HIS favorite/best bargain, I have no argument for that.
