What do you guys think about aging this one? It seems like a barleywine to me and at 13% should hold up I know the hops will fade but do you think it will be like aged DFH 120 min?

I picked up 3 bottle last weekend. Going to try one and see how I like it then decide if I will cellar the other two. I'm thinking it will age well. It's bottle-conditioned which is always a plus. Their Twelve is a Quad and I have had good results cellaring it. The hop character in the Hoppy Quad will change but that's what's fun about aging. You never know what you're going to end up with until you try it.

I have a bottle of this was thinking the same thing...being hoppy id assume fresh is best but may buy another bottle to hold on to anyway for how cheap it is considering.....

I bought two bottles and just had one of them a couple days ago. I thought it was a pretty decent beer, very unique. I will be aging out my other bottle, but only because i have an extra, not because i expect it will get any better. At 13% and bottle conditioned there is obviously no real risk there.

There arent really any harsh alcohol notes to fade out, and its not overly bitter for being termed "hoppy". The hops are more about the flavor than any real bitterness. The belgian characteristics are very subtle in the background, so that is maybe the only thing i could see coming more forward with time? And thats a pure guess, it could go the other way....not sure. There are some nice woody notes as well, maybe those would become more pronounced?

If i only had 1 bottle i would say drink it now.
