Purchased one tonight at State Line Liquor in Elkton, MD. $15.99. They had 6 or 7 on the shelf

 

Hm. They must keep excess supplies in the back. I was there a week or so ago and they only had 3 left on the shelf when I was there

 

Ditto - I was there on 12/28 and they had 3 sitting on the shelf.

 

Wegmans WB had it for $16.49. I passed at that price

 

Total Wines in Claymont had a bunch of cases on Thursday night. $16.99 or $17.99 a bottle, can't remember exactly, but I passed either way.

 

Finally hit Cape May County Nj.

 

Apparently beer store southampton now has this for $29.99, if Facebook comments are to be believed. Have at it, gents.

 

Fuck that guy, seriously. He embodies everything that is unholy and wrong in the craft retail community.

You wouldn't see a tear shed from me if all of those places eventually closed.

 

Agreed. And Victory would be (should be?) completely right in never sending any of their product to them again. And yes, I understand how business works and "if someone wants to pay that amount, blah, blah blah... This sort of thing has blunted my excitement for craft beer.

 

As a retail establishment, wouldn't they be getting the beer through a distributor, not directly from Victory?

I found some in NEPA a while ago. Not sure if it's still around. It was a good beer. Kinda weird, but good.

 

I might be thinking of the laws wrong, but I am almost certain that it isn't legal to own both a distributor license and a retail license in the state of Pennsylvania.

 

He probably put one of the licenses in someone else's name.

 

Vote with your wallet...just don't buy from those guys.

I got a bottle a week or so ago in Pittsburgh. Was pretty damn good too.

 

Nice. I was at a couple GE's this weekend but didn't see any. Maybe Whole Foods? What did you pay, if you don't mind sharing?

 

It was GE so it was as low as it gets. Maybe $16.99? Somewhere in that range.

 

Yeah, that's the strange thing. If you look at the Beer Store Southampton's FB page, and then the Northeast Distributor page, you can tell it's definitely the same person running them. The pictures also seem the same as well.
