I got to the Parkesburg location around 3:45 and they had about 15 or so bottles left to purchase individually and 5 or 6 cases on the floor. I'd be surprised it lasted through the night.

Had a glass at downingtown this afternoon. Definitely a very good beer, but didn't think it was on the level of kbs or bcbs. But definitely a very good beer worth a try if u can get some!

Still available @ Kennett. While good, no reason to buy by the case.

I decided not to go today and sounds like I made the right move as it would have been too late......I did pick up a few Bastard boxes though and they were $24 each. If I find a few Cask bottles cool....if not I still have a case of High Westified and it was half the price......

    Great holiday to all

    Enjoy

Had about 3 cases left at Parkesburg around 4:30pm. Gotta say I was very impressed. Like a more bitter KBS.

I went to Parkesburg at about 615 and there was a decent amount left. Maybe a dozen bottles on the counter and I saw a few cases as well. Picked up one thanksgiving and one for the cellar.

I respectfully disagree. Although very good by Victory standards, to me it is still not on the level of any bourbon county stout. There is just more flavor and complexity per ounce with the BC. With JC it is chocolatey and smooth for 14% abv. On the other hand, the nose is not very pleasant and the coffee is too subdued. I will reiterate that overall, I enjoyed the beer. I will get it again if I see it on draft, but I am satisfied having only purchased two bottles. I prefer when folks describe what is good or bad about beers rather than grouping them with world class beers, at least until the honeymoon phase has passed.

Arrived at Downingtown around 10, had it on draft and was advised to grab my bottles while they lasted. As the bartender poured my Java Cask, I ran to the retail store and bought 4 bottles. Three cases remained on the floor at that point. By the time I was halfway through my draft, I heard the bartender say that they just had sold out - that was around 10:30-10:45.

This stuff is phenomenal - I wasn't really expecting this from Victory, as I think most of their stuff is a little above average. It's not quite BCBS level IMO, but it's damn close.

Basically all 3 locations got roughly the same amount of Java Cask...unfortunately....EVERYONE showed up at D-Town...so while they sold out around 1030-11AM this morning at D-Town, bottles and cases sat around at P-Burg and KSQ for most of the day/evening.

And yes, this will hit distributors.

Any idea about the ratio of cases sold in-house vs. hitting distribution?

Just wondering how available it will be.

Had it on tap today at Pburg. Incredible beer. Reminded me a lot of chocolate rain which I had two weeks ago, but significantly better actually. Bought three bottles (had to drive to Kennett to get), but well worth it.

It is actually the best 12%+ stout I have had.

Stopped back at Kennett today to buy a case... Still had probably 20 cases or so on the floor.

Had one on draft today at Downingtown — not a KBS or BCBS killer. Here is my review:

    4.23/5 rDev -8.2%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

On draft at the source in Downingtown, Pennsylvania served into a tulip glass. Looks great. Dark brown to black with a a 1" khaki head. Smell is straight boozy chocolate. Taste is sweet, chocolate syrup with alcohol and vanilla on the finish. Not much coffee at all. Mouthfeel is a little thin for a 14.3% stout but this is still an excellent beer.

I wonder if and where it will be hitting Central PA distribution. I think it would but any details about sightings would be greatly appreciated.

had a taster of on Saturday in Parkesburg, thought it was really good. the GF (who is still relatively new to beers) also had a taster. she thought it was better the KBS which she had on Friday at the Fridge. I went with backwoods bastard at the fridge.

I really like the Parkesburg facility and the self guided tour is cool.

    @ashellen

Parkesburg was incredible! Very heavily influenced by the new Sierra Nevada in Mills River (at least the tour section). Loved it.

We went twice this past weekend while in town, such a cool space. Absolutely love their beer, so that helps. It's exciting that a brewery doesn't have 50 IPA's on tap... The diverse and well executed tap list was exciting and refreshing. Practically tried everything on the tap list over the two days, except the Belgians which I don't care for.
