such a let down that it is a seasonal release. there are a ton of really solid DIPA's out there and Hop Ranch is one of them that fits my wants in an DIPA to a "t".

I've seen the opposite here with troeg's perpetual. The cans have pretty much cannabilized the bottles. our bottle cases have been nearly going out of code, and the cans only stick around for a week or two. Obviously I think it had a lot to do with it being summer, and there being music fests, lakes, camping, etc. where bottles are pain, but anyone drinking it knows cans have the same beer as the bottles.

I switched to the cans myself, they are just so convenient besides all the oxygen issues or whatever. But there are still a bunch of people who think good beer only comes in bottles and I let know that the technology is much improved and they are just as good.

We are case only though, and I did notice the out of code problem with the torpedo 16oz cans. It's much harder to get someone to think its worth paying $10 more for the same beer, even if you get more. That's one reason why I would looove to have some 16oz of dirtwolf, but think it's a terrible idea. There is no way in hell someone is going to pay $60-$70 a case for it when the bottles are much less, and it already being so expensive. I could see that being different in a singles or four pack, but that's a hell of a lot of money at one time for a case.

Ok, I'll give up my dream of 16oz cans of DirtWolf. But can we at least have those cool looking tall, skinny 12 ouncers like Sixpoint Resin comes in? :-)

This news makes me unbelievably happy. Prima Pils is meant for cans. With the oxidation issues I seem to get with Dirtwolf on a fairly consistent basis, this is an easy solution.

Dirt Wolf in cans. Another temptation to become an alcoholic.

I am all for this! Bell's Two Hearted tallboys were the beer of the summer for me. I'm a fan of pretty much everything Victory makes and I'm sure I will be crushing anything they decide to put in a 16oz. can.

The price increase on Torpedo 16oz cans from bottles is unreasonable. I would imagine that Victory could do better on 16 oz cans.

I mean Troegs only upped the case price 5$ for 16oz Troegenator.

Sadly, in my central NY Wegmans, we have standard offerings from both Victory and SlyFox, yet I've NEVER seen a V-lager, nor EVER a SF Helles. Seriously. It's all GM/Devil/DW and Pikeland/113/Phoenix, never anything else. I'd love to have either of the lagers mentioned, and would buy regularly if I saw them, bottled or canned (realize all SF is cans).

Wow, that's a shame. I drank a LOT of SF Helles this summer and it was available all over the place. Granted, I live in the backyard of SF, so it's not surprising. PS. the 360 lid is freaking amazing.

It's also apparently illegal in NJ and NY (anti-litter laws from back in the era when "pop top" cans had the removal tabs - some poor market research by Sly Fox and/or Crown the can mfg.) . Although I did find some cans of the Helles with the standard lids. Still, I'd say that Victory Lager is generally easier to find that SF Helles in NJ. Now, "fresh" Victory Lager is another question and constant problem...

This... is excellent news, really looking forward to them getting into canning...

And, note to self, there's apparently a decent trade market out there for V lager, so if you're looking, feel free to drop me a line  Living a few minutes from the breweries has its' benefits!
