Good news. They're capcity has forced them to make some recent choices that have infuriated me, as a consumer. Hopefully the Saints will return, and perhaps Hop Wallop can be brewed more frequently

Great news. It was impressive how much they were able to do with the limited space they had, so this can only improve distribution and availability.

“But once we are up and running, it will allow us endless opportunities to experiment with new flavors and re-create old favorites.”

Perhaps Old Ho will also make a return.

    From their blog. http://victorybeer.com/blog/more-victory-to-love/

"As we increase our brewing capacity, we’ll be able to bring back some of our brands that went on a brief hiatus: Old Horizontal, St. Victorious and maybe even WildDevil. "

Some tall boy nitro cans of Donnybrook stout would be pretty epic.

My assumption is that we will see their operation turn more into a Dogfish Head style organization. Parkesburg will be Victory's Milton and Downingtown will be their Rehobeth.

This is great news for fans of Victory's beers and especially those of us who love beers like Old Horizontal and Moonglow, which have had to take major production hits. I'm sure this will allow them to really amp up their creativity (barrel aging and special releases) as well.

    Awesome.

Wow, it would be nice if there is a brew pub with it. That is less than a mile from my moms house, it would make trips home a lot more appealing. I used to shoot hoops in the parking lot there when I was younger.

Good to hear, though I would have preferred them to open their proposed Easton brewpub that was originally planned...

Good old Parkesburg! I grew up in that town but from what I hear, you don't want there to be a tasting room at this place since the Parkesburg cops are out for blood when it comes to DUIs. My mom lives right down the road in Gap so it will be great if they at least sell growlers to go.

Very true on the cops in Parkesburg, I grew up there too and it has always been a tough town as far as law enforcement goes. There are lots of side roads to get around town though if you know the area.

A friend of mine called me last night and said he was at the Downingtown location and they said there will be a pub at the Parkesburg location, but it will have a scaled down food menu. I have to believe they will be able to sell a lot of growlers there to people heading down route 41 to get to the beach, it is like 2 miles off the highway.

I heard yesterday that the new brewery will do the flagship stuff while the existing will do the specialty and seasonal stuff.

The blog says that most flagship brewing will move to Parkesburg, though it implies that those brands will still be brewed at Downingtown as well. What I'm gleaning from this is that the expansion is purely to increase production of the flagship beers, with the happy side-effect that they will have the room to brew more experimental/less-popular/costlier beers in Downingtown.

The most important element of this news to me is the location they chose... more specifically the water source. Given their (accurate) position on how important water is to the formulation of their beers, I can see why they chose a close location with a near-identical mineral composition instead of moving further to places like Easton or beyond.

I love hearing the possibility that WildDevil (my favorite Victory brew) could make a comeback. However, from what I understand the problem with WildDevil wasn't lack of brewing space but hyper-active yeasts that caused over-carbonation and exploding bottles.

Please tell me this means the return of St. Victorious, Moonglow and Sunrise Weiss (in bottles)

Sunrise Weiss never left. Although beer shops seemed to think it did.
