A Victor Rep was kind enough to share some White Monkey at the Barcade Anni Party and I thought it was very good. It tasted very clean and had a mead-like flavor going on. I enjoyed it. I believe they said it was the original test batch, but, hopefully, the new batch is similar.

Hmm . . . White Monkey looks like it has potential. Less interested in the other two, though.

Had some of that as well. It was from a test batch made in 2007.

Thanks for the details. I remembered one of the reps (I think he's the regional manager, now) from Stuff Yer Face in New Brunswick, NJ years ago and he hooked me up with a pour. I just hope the beer doesn't require 5 years to taste that good.

Just came here to say that I really enjoyed Red Thunder. Picked up another to age for about $9.

Hoping Oak Horizontal is around the same price range.

Oak will be more expensive. Red/White will be the same price.

Red Thunder was especially good. Can't be beat for 8.99.

Saw Red Thunder last Friday and held off. Looks like I should've picked it up- word of mouth has me hoping it's still there.

I agree that Red Thunder was significantly better than I anticipated. I'm interested in seeing how it develops, but Dark Intrigue was much better fresh than aged. Oak Horizontal is gonna be the shit.

I would have to agree with the others about Red Thunder. Very good beer and I split a case with several people that was bought at Victory which came out to $7.50/bottle. I can't wait to see how this is in a year or two.
