Got official word today that one ofy favorite breweries, Vindication, is closing their doors April 28. Love their Freedom Stout and most of their other offerings have been good to great IMHO. Eric, Sanj, Marty, etc are good people, too. Hate to see them go; Eric and Timson do some great stuff....

Unfortunately, you're correct. Don't know if it's because of lease or what. I know when my watering hole put their what on tap the first time in the winter a few years back, the keg was blown in less than a week. And that's not even their best brew....

I really like their "American Bold." It is/was a throwback to the early 2000's combo of caramel malts and pine + citrus hops. There aren't too many other beers like that these days and it was really well done. Their line-up was from a different era. I don't know if those styles of beer get people excited anymore. Especially in Boulder, where it feels like breweries are struggling in general. Partially related, it seems like the reborn Oasis is rocking that same type of line-up. It'll be interesting if they (or anyone else still doing that) can make it work.

That should be wheat. And I'm going to their last Stuff and Stuff two weeks from tonight (17th). Gonna try to find a Bolder Bold in the cellar to take/share besides doing chili with Freedom Stout or something....gonna miss these guys...

Was there tonight; the Terminus IPA is great. I'll be there for the final Stuff and Stuff next Tuesday. I'm sure there will be some great food made with Vindy's brews. I'm going old school with chili and Freedom Stout. Hoping they might have some stashed goodies for sale closer to closing date (Bolder Bold, Devil's Helper, etc). Since I don't work over there anymore, I don't get there as often but damn, I'm gonna miss Freedom Stout, Bold, and some others. Eric does good chit.

Was at Vindi for my first/their last Stuff 'N' Stuff Tuesday. Turnout was about triple the norm so I was told: lots of great food made with Vindication brews. And on the cusp of closing, Eric finally didy wish of BA Freedom Stout. Absolutely delicious so naturally I needed a growler, even though pricey.

Just 9 days left; I'll be back during my break. Yep, gonna miss this place. Good people and great brews.

Hopefully some of those beers will see a new life elsewhere. Weren't many of them based on OB's brewery-only releases from 10'ish years ago?

I believe Gubna was Eric's baby when O.B. was still just a lil' ol' place in Lyons. He said he's done with the industry for a lot of teasons, a big one being they're gonna do a big construction project on 71st which would've killed traffic to them. I hope he decides to brew again; he does good stuff. And I hope Timson lands somewhere: Devil's Helper was/is a great big stout that was his baby.

I'll be over there a couple times before they close.....
