There is a store around here that has a sixer with 2 09s, 2 10s, and 2 11s. They want $30. Is that a decent price for them? This place usually price gouges and it seems pretty steep.

That's pretty high. There's a place in MN that has put out Bigfoot vintages in the past (up to 10 years old!) & if I remember right, the highest I saw for a 10 year old bottle was $3.99 or so. They seemed to add 10 cents or so for each year of aging.

What it comes down to: is that what you're willing to pay for them? Vintage prices are a newish thing, & from what I've seen, seem to be all over the board.

Yeah, there is so much stuff out there now for me to try. I think I might pass. To be honest, I think this is actually the lowered price. They have been there for a while.

I think it's a fair price but I do not know your personal finances.

Now that that's out of my system, there isn't a "decent" price for aged beer. It's only what you will pay for it. Too steep for you? Don't buy it. It's $5/bottle at that price. That's cheaper than a 12oz draft of this year's Bigfoot would be.

A current 4pk goes for roughly $12, so $3 a bottle. A $2 markup seems high, but it's still cheaper than you'll find it on draft in any vintage. As said, it's what you are willing to pay that matters. I paid $22 for a barrel-aged Bigfoot at a bar recently, and was happy to since it was so limited. Got to keep the bottle too.

    I think I saw $6 a bottle at Beers of the World today on 2012. =$ 24 a 4/pack.

Fair = if you will buy it. It's really good if aged properly- (very important) , I would pay $ 30 for what IP described if I wanted more bigfoot in my cellar.

I'm sitting on a bunch already in the basement toy closet that happened to be 55 degrees F all year round.

The toys were removed, the beers were inserted. I made the children clean up.

You're paying for a vertical too. I don't think I'd have a way to buy a vertical at any of the local stores around here. It's high, but maybe worth if if you and a few buddies are curious.

overpriced. pay it if you want, or buy a case of current bigfoot and drink it over a few years.

I just cracked a 2001 vintage with Thanksgiving dinner tonight.
    Delicious.
The hops defiantly faded long ago to give way to malts and dark fruits, toffee, caramel.

We had a 2008 last night. Although the last one was good (six months ago), this one had that sulfur taste where the hops go through an astringent period. Not very tasty.

I recently paid $17 for a 4 year vertical in Rochester, NY. I don't think I would do it again, but I bought it to bring to a tasting.
