i've been looking for Sanctification b3 and FFaC b1 for a while and they seem to be nearing extinction or very-well guarded. any idea if these are still around and what they would command? would they technically be whales since one is the only intentionally soured batch and the other is the only one with a Sonambic base? i'm thinking about throwing out another mixed offer of Block 15/Upright/Cascade/Ale Apothecary, but afraid that may not be enough. anyone care to chime in?

ffac b1 is a big whale. i don't know about sanc batch 3. it will take a good bulk offer of those breweries to pull the ffac but they are great breweries so maybe it'll gone done.

yeah ffac b1 is on the white whale list; it's gonna take a hell of a lot.

I've never had it, but I do know a small amount (maybe one case?) was sold to go at the Toronado 25th party in San Francisco a year ago. No idea what they were sold for, but I would guess they're getting hoarded hard.

I believe most or all batches of Santification were intentionally soured. Batch 3 was just really awesome.

think both B3 and B4 were 750mls but the B3 being the more rare and desired one but I could be wrong

What do you mean by sick?

Release was delayed because the bugs acted weird and needed longer to be ready to release. Vinnie referred to it as the barrels "getting sick." It ended up delicious, though.

What sort of beers could a B4 pull though? Realistically?

    Or lower?

T25 maybe, if it will pull the others then someone ISO batch 4 Sanct should drop me a line.

I have FfaC batch 1 but wouldn't trade it for much, definitely no post 2010 instawhales. Probably doesn't help OP, sorry.

That's why I ask, most of these are insta-whales and those B4's were VERY scarce when they came out! Not sure who would have more than 1 or 2 and be willing to let them go for much less than another awesome beer in return

Disclaimer: I have one and would be open to trading it, but It's take a pretty big BA Stout to pry it from me.

Trade values seem driven more by excitement (which creates demand) than supply. I don't think FfaC batch 1 would ever trade for a Rare straight up, even though Rare had 50x the bottle count. There's almost no excitement for Russian River versus Goose Island or Three Floyds. When that happens, you just drink the beer.

All right, probably not the best example. A BA Dark Lord maybe? Usually double or triple the bottle count, won't go straight up with FfaC batch 1.

But you get my point at least.
