Just back from Detroit, with a six of Arbor Brewing's Violin Monster, lovely dark wheat! Wishing I had bought more after a few sips of the 1st glass. In the words of Lt. Archie Hickoks ,"I must say damn good stuff Sir"
Named after a street performer, who plays classic violin dressed in a wolf man mask and wolf feet. Pretty good fall winter beer. http://www.arborbrewing.com/beers/violin-monster/?age-verified=2840631f2c This guy is a fixture in Ann Arbor, but he does travel around. http://www.violinmonster.com/yen3wc4hgm3btk6rbtpro053pc408n
I expected very little & tried it merely to tick it but loved it & wound up drinking it more often than I thought I would
One of my favorite beers from last fall. Looking forward to having a few in front of the campfire once the weather turns. Dangerous though, as the 9.5 ABV is very well-concealed.
It was on tap late in the season at Comerica Park last year. Hoping to get it again the next time I make it down there. It definitely doesn't feel like a 9.5% "monster".
