Not your typical "where should i go" post.

I'm in town for a night. Thought about heading to Brewbakers after my work commitments were done to grab some beers. If anyone has a better idea in that Main St. area please let me know. Otherwise, lets get a group of people to meet up and have a beer or 10.

I am open to any and all other ideas, so just let me know.

So... I'd go to Howies Pizza on Mooney Blvd, Katie the bartender is cool and they have a bunch of good stuff...from Bruery, Sierra Nevada, FW, Pizza Port...breweries from all over and sometimes one off stuff. If your lucky you may get to try a beer from Pendragon (nanobrewery), the stuff goes fast when available.

Another location is Pita Kabob on Walnut/Akers...GREAT food and about 12 handles, all craft. We'll worth the visit. Ask for Chafic (the owner) he knows his beers and loves talking craft beer.

I'm not a huge fan of Brewbakers, but every great while I have a good beer there...but since your there I suppose you can see for yourself.

i'd prefer to stay walking distance to my hotel... which is 100 ft. from brew bakers from what I can tell. So the main st. area of Visalia is where I will stay for that evening. However I did hear Howies is solid in all aspects.

In that case just go to VBC... about a block west of Brewbakers...they have a ton of taps, a lot of craft but not quite as eclectic as those previously mentioned.

I will be in Alaska or I'd meet you for a beer. I'll second the howies and pita kabob recommendations. Best beer selections in town by a mile.

Thanks for the info. I always end up at brewbakers but next time visiting the family I'll have options.
