Visit to Charlotte

OP, don't know what you can get in NY, but the Charlotte breweries are great!
NoDa Brewing is a must to drink at. Across the street is Birdsong - also great beer. Then a Triple C would be a 3rd option. If you like German style, Olde Mecklenburg does a good job of those.

If you visit any bottle shops, you'll figure out what you can't get at home. Talk to the owners or workers. Best 3 are:
-Salud Beer Shop (near NoDa)
-Brawley's Beverage (south Charlotte)
-Good Bottle Co. (very near Triple C)

Other NC breweries I like are: Highland, Foothills, Olde Hickory, Wicked Weed, LoneRider, Green Man, Mother Earth, Duck Rabbit, Catawba Valley...none will blow you away though. IMO the first 3 Charlotte ones are as good as it gets in NC besides Wicked Weed.

 

Well, he'll probably make his way down 77 for some Westbrook.

To add I was at Vintner Wine Market today in Charlotte and they had Pisgah Vortex II....if you like a RIS then I'd stop by for that one....very very hard to find outside the Asehville NC area (they also had Pisgah Baptista).
