    Hey everyone,

I'll be visiting the DFH brewery as a part of a bachelor party in Rehoboth Beach Aug 7-9 and had a couple of questions:

Do they always have 120 minute, WWS, and/or Raison D'Extra bottles available for purchase? If so, anyone know what they go for?

Also, do they ever have these beers on tap? Fill growlers?

If any of you are attractive women PM me and come join us

    Cheers!

I was at the pub 2 weeks ago. They had a 3-4 year old WWS on tap while I was there. No growlers, only on site consumption. I would imagine that keg has long since kicked. I didn't see any 120 or Raison, but I have both at the house.

If you check the DFH website they give a list of what is on tap and bottle availability at the brew pub and the brewery in Milton.

I do see what's on tap on the website but can't seem to find a bottle list...

On the website they have the calendar for what is out, and when. Check that and the brewery will usually have anything that is due out in July.

Raison D'Extra and some WWS is still out and about at liquor stores, but haven't seen any 120. I didn't stop at the brewery, but the brewpub didn't have WWS or 120 last Thursday.

Check out Dewey Beach Brewery... just opened a month ago. Nothing crazy but solid beers. Also, please go out in Dewey (Rudder, Starboard, Northbeach) and refrain from trying to go out in Rehoboth, you may attract the 'wrong crowd'... lol

Are you talking about the brewery, or the brewpub?

Last time I was there, the brewpub had a "vintage beer fridge" of aged bottles of their high ABV beers to purchase. They were not cheap (>$10 for a 12 oz bottle).

check the website out and/or give them a call for tap lists and availability.

Dewey is more of a frat party scene, while the good food and dining is in Rehoboth (for what it is, and particularly for beer choices). If you're going to make your way between the two, I'd suggest the use of the good ole Jolly Trolly to get back and forth. Goes without saying, don't drink and drive...

Atlantic Liquors on Rt. 1 had bottles of Extra as of last weekend. I would not be surprised if it's still around in August. $11 per.

I will be visitng DFH Rehoboth for my bachelor party on July 17-20. Doing some kayak trip to the brewery or something. Most of the details are supposed to be a surprise. I will post what they had in stock during my visit after I get back.

    ... If I can remember.

I believe it's the brewpub in Rehoboth, isn't the brewery in Milton?

Yeah, that's correct. Also, keep in mind that the brewpub has much more varieties and brewpub-only beers on tap than the brewery. However, the brewery has free samples, an awesome food truck, and bocce ball.
And $10 for a 12 oz. bottle isn't expensive, it's the going rate for any DFH vintage beer.

Thanks! In my 3 1/2 years on BA I've never splurged for any of their 18% beers so I'm hoping to either catch them on tap or try a vintage bottle at that price.

Just my opinion, but the Raison is skippable... the WWS and 120 are both world class beers, but I would much rather have them bottled than tapped, if you can find it. Give them a year or 3 to cool off and I think they become much more drinkable!

Exactly this. Though, I've not had an aged bottle of the Raison, only fresh. I am interested to see what it's like a couple years down the line. 120 Min and WWS are two of my favorite beers. Stoked to get to try Fort this year, and the new Higher Math beer seems interesting enough.

I drank bottles of the 2007 batch at 3.5 years and 6 years old, my notes:

3.5 years- brown to deep mahogany in color, minimal head clings around the ring. cloudy.
big sweet fruit smell - true to the name - raisons. can definitely taste the raisons. sugary, warm finish
mouthfeel is typical of brown ale or strong ale. the high alcohol is extemely well hidden.
the time in the bottle has done this brew extremely well. for an 18% beer, right now it is drinking more like 8%

6 years - aroma and taste is still bold and nice. still smooth. great as it warms. carbonation and mouthfell is still good too.

Yes. But your original post was unclear as you said "brewery", and "Rehoboth Beach". The brewpub will have one-off beers on tap, but realize that they only have a little merchandise window that sells limited merch and to-go beer. If you want the full selection of stuff to buy, stop at the brewery.
You may get lucky. When I was at the brewpub, they had both fresh and 3 year old 120 minute on tap. But that was back in 2011, so who knows.

I agree you're not going to find them any cheaper elsewhere.

But any beer that is approaching $1 / oz is "expensive" in my book.

The 07 Raison I had was so good, it made me buy a case of this release to let sit for a while

Oh I agree completely. I just didn't know if it was implied that this was price gouging or something [sidenote: I had a guy try to made me a WWS yesterday with his price tag as "$18-30" lol no].
