Visiting Alaska this week...Beer/Brewpub suggestions?

    My wife and I are taking a trip to Alaska this week. I was hoping someone could suggest some good beers to try or some good brewpubs? We're flying into Anchorage for a couple days, then going to Seward, up to Healy, and then flying out of Fairbanks. I'm from Florida and have looked around the forums but figured I'd see if anyone from the area had suggestions.

    Any help is appreciated! :slight_smile:

    There are plenty of great places to go in Anchorage: Humpy's Alehouse, Cafe Amsterdam, Glacier BrewHouse, Snow Goose Brewpub, Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria, Midnight Sun Brewing Company, and King Street Brewing.

    In Seward, check out the Seward Brewing Company (brewpub) and the Seward Alehouse (bar). They're downtown, only half a block apart.

    In Healy, you want to visit 49th State Brewing Company (brewpub). Great food and great beer.

    In Fairbanks, definitely visit HooDoo Brewing Company (brewery taproom) and if you can, drive north up the Steese Highway to Fox, AK (it's about 12 miles) and visit Silver Gulch Brewing and Bottling Company.

    Just about anything brewed in this state is good; Alaskans demand good beer from our local brewers.
