Hi there, I emailed several people at Alvinne but didn't hear back from them. I happened upon this forum the other day - good score! Seems like a friendly, helpful bunch of people on here! I'm a brewer myself and was hoping to visit the brewery. Can anyone tell me if they have typical visiting hours? A bar on site? Even just to swing by and try their beers would make me happy. On a secondary note, can anyone tell me about pre-paid / pay-as-you-go (i.e. no contract) SIM's in Belgium? I'm after a cheap way of having plenty of mobile data when I come over. Thanks! Liam
It's not that easy to visit, with infrequent opening hours. It was something like a couple days a month, as of a few months ago when I visited by appointment. Google them for an email address and put in your request. You can write in English. It's a unique place and well worth the trip.
First sautarday of every month the tasting room is open and for phonecards.... the RELAY shop in the arrival hall of Brussels airport has mobile cards (Always send our visitors to that shop)
I was just in Leuven for three weeks and bought a SIM card through BASE mobile. I believe it was only 15 euro for 300 SMS and 1 GB internet, no minutes except to call other BASE users. Worked great, no complaints.
