So I'm visiting the Asheville area (Bryson City specifically). I want to bring some stuff home with me and will be visiting Wicked Weed and a few bottle shops that I have seen promoted on this forum. Does anyone know what bottles are available at WW and do they have any kind of limits? I haven't had anything from them and just want to know what to expect when I get there. Also, I would be willing to bring bottles for IP trades if there is interest. I live in the Tampa area.

Search around the forum, TONS of info on Asheville. Usually on the front page.

As for specific bottles, call them. They'll be the only ones to know, as it rotates. Normally no limits, unless they are out. I'd try to go on a week day, and get a flight, but chances are it'll be blown out busy as normal, and you won't be able too. But since you are going on weekend, you won't be able to get a flight. It'll be super crowded, so just go downstairs and buy bottles from the bar.

I haven't been up to the house in a couple months, but it's leaf-peeper season up there, so shit gets really busy with all the flat landers wanting to see trees and leaves and all that mess. Probably starting to change colors now, so be warned.

Bryson City is about 45 min west of Asheville. Nothing there but the SM railroad stop. It's a nice little town however, and I'm more familiar with it than Asheville, as we have a place west of Bryson.

Stop in at Nantahala Brewing in downtown Bryson, literally across the railroad tracks in town. Can't miss it, hell can't miss anything in Bryson. Jen and Jeff there will take care of you at the bar. Plenty of TV's to watch football on, you can bring your kids and dogs, and bring you own food in and enjoy the beers. Will have plenty on tap of their own and some guest taps from the region. They usually have live music every fri-sun night, and it's a fun time.

You can get brewery only bottles and some growlers there, and you can get growlers of their stuff in the gorge at the outdoor center on the nantahala river. I suggest the NoonDay IPA, and some of their Trail Magic bottles, like the BA RIS, and the wine barrel aged Wit beer with elderberries.

Not much else for beer in Bryson, it's your best bet, and it's pretty good stuff all the way around.

My only addition is that with the Funkatorium having just opened, it -might- mean its less crowded at WW.
