Completely agree, it's so hard to get a true taste for a beer with only 4oz and then mixing it in with beers that may be similar.

The latest batch of Delicioulus is awesome, finishing up my 2nd growler, has a bit of a rye finish to it or at least I thought.
Before it was an extra plae ale - now its listed as an IPL.
Money is on at Eastern District for growler fills but at $22 a bit over the $18 at the brewery. I might stop by tomorrow to get some Rembrandt Porter if still on.

Have they done Saazsquatch this year?

Don't think so - they use the squash from the farm down the road so I would guess its being harvested this fall.

    Good news and bad news:

Good news - there's a batch of Morticia in the tanks and it's going to be bottled again. They also plan on brewing it more often this winter.

Bad news - there's only 1 keg for the current Morticia batch and it's going to the tap room. That means no growler fills and no kegs for me to take home and horde.

Anyone hear any updates about the Daddy Warbucks bottles?

I think they will be released end of the month, ppl who buy Halloween party tickets get a discount on bottles at the party. According to a recent Instagram post. I would love some Dunegrass bottles though.

Daddy Warbucks will be released on Halloween as far as I know. Haven't heard much about Saazsquatch but I believe the past two years it was released sometime in late November. I'll be up there tomorrow afternoon to grab some beer for the Mets game. I'll ask about Saazsquatch.

I wish they would brew Bittersweet again. Honestly my favorite beer from them. The galaxy hops just kick that beer up a notch. Unfortunately, since one of the owners left I don't think they will ever make it again. It was originally brewed by the two owners as the last batch of beer they brewed at their original location, hence 'bittersweet', and I don't think Evan will brew it anymore.

Thanks, would love to know about Saazsquatch. A bar in Smithtown had it on tap recently and I haven't seen it on beermenus at Barrier so I am thinking the keg was from last year.

Went down today, got a glass of Money, and picked up a growler of the same. Agree 100%, it is very, very good. In many ways am glad it stays under the radar outside of the area as it is never a crap show there. Do wish they would can it at some point as I like that format but am not greedy.

Little pricey considering it used to be $10 per 22oz bomber of DW and regular Morticia.

    VERY pricey.

Yeah, it's basically the same as paying $32 for a 4-pack of 16-oz cans.

So is it $8 a bottle if u buy four? Wasnt original Morticia a 16.9 oz or 500 ml bottle? Still have one in the cellar will have to check. If so, the $10 barrel-aged for less is a steal!

So Other Half is doing the Trillium collab release the same day as this?

    R.I.P. to my checking account.

I thought Morticia was a 22oz bomber when they bottled it a few years ago?

Also the oak aged Morticia isn't barrel aged, they use oak chips. They had a keg of it in the tasting room over the winter, I prefer the regular.

Think u r right about 22oz. But Daddy Warbucks for $9 a 16oz? Bought bottles when they released it last time and wasn't that impressed.
