If you have time and want to drive about an hour out of the city I recommend checking out Parish Brewing in Broussard.

Only Brewery that you can visit is Tin Roof... Gnarley Barley is an hour away in Hammond, Parish is an hour away in Broussard. You also have Bayou Teche which is about 45 minutes away towards Broussard.

As far as drinking you have Corporate Draft and Brew (100+ taps, well maintained,) Draft House, Pelican House, Cove, The Bulldog,Bottle and Tap, and Lock and Key.

If you wanted to eat as well then you have either Chimes locations, Londoner, Red Zeplin, The Bulldog

Corporate lets you bring in your own food as long as it is not overpowering smell.

To buy beer you have Beverage Store, Calandro's, Bin-Q, Alexanders, and Hokus Pokus as your best bets

If you decide to make the hour and half drive to New Orleans then Avenue Pub, Courtyard Brewery, Nola Brewery, Second Line, Urban South, and Steins are the must hits.
