So I'm going to chicago August 1st-6th.

It would be awesome if I could find some bcbs (whichever) anywhere or anybody willing to trade me. Also looking for some Three floyds, Cantillion, Bells, anything else I can't get in Texas. What are some good bottle shops I should visit while in town? I'll be staying in the loop but I'll be bouncing around the city, mostly on the North Side though.

I have access to Jester King (Austin Tx) including their newest beer "censored(salt lick)" and I do have a bottle of Weasel Rodeo For trade. I also have access to karbach(houston), Saint Arnolds(Divine reserve 13 and bishops barrel 3), Lakewood(Dallas), Austin beer works, Hops and grain and Freetail Brewpub(San Antonio). Message me if you would like to do an in person trade that weekend. I can start buying bottles now just for this. I just can't take too much.

Also, where should I go drink? Food is a plus but beer selection/price is what I'm looking for.
I do plan on checking out Map Room and Goose Island clybourn.

For bottle shops I'd start with Binny's and West Lakeview Liquors, as both have great selections. Wednesday/Thursdays seems to be the common day for beer deliveries, though I could be mistaken since I'm in the suburbs.

If you're looking for FFF your best best is to make the short trip to the brewery, the brewpub has fantastic food so it's worth the trip in my opinion. Revolution also has a great pub, though it's not at the brewery. Piece is a fantastic brewery/pizzeria and worth stopping in as they don't distribute.

On the flip side, any recommendations for SAT? I'm going to be in town for a week come 14JUL and would love some recommendations.

Go to Freetail for sure. Gabriels superstoee has a good bottle selection and is about 5 minuts from freetail. What part of town will you be at?

Staying on the Riverwalk and working about 10 minutes northwest of there.

The flyibg saucer is another pretty cool place off of i10. The friendly spot downtown has good selection but they recently got a lot of flack of overcharging for beers, they do have a good selection though. Also dont mention beer advocate, they hate us apparently so I dont go there.

Freetail brewpub is about 20 minutes from downtown and does sell bottles/growlers to go. Flying saucer and freetail are both towards Northwest of downtown

OP is confusing me with subsequent posts...

Browse the Great Lakes forum for at least 4 pages and all your answers regarding where to go in Chicago will be answered. You will also be in town during Lollapalooza, so you can also try to catch some aftershows at great venues.

You probably won't find any Cantillon. Not much hits the shelves and what does sells out immediately.

Hit up Binnys in Lincoln Park or the one in the South Loop.

Printers Row Wine Shop is close to the loop and has a good selection.

Beer Temple and West Lakeview Liquiors are good places.

    Thanks for the info.
Yesterday I was posting from my phone at work. I tend to not make sense sometimes when I do that.
