Starting tomorrow in Chicago. Any recommendations for bars or beer stores that I just can't miss? Aside from the Chicagoland favorites, would love to grab some Prairie bottles. Amy stores carry a good stock? Appreciate the help!

once in Green Bay, go to Ridgeview in Ashwaubenon (about a mile south from Lambeau). best singles selection around (can buy singles of anything). a little pricier than say, Woodman's, but worth the stop.

Woodman's will have a few things Ridgeview doesn't but not very much. prices are a bit better.

brewpubs: Titletown and Hinterland are right across the street from each other, downtown, on the river (more or less). Titletown has a fairly decent lineup of beer, very good pub+ food and it's a cool setting (old train station). Hinterland has much much better, but more expensive, food and i favor their beers but there are fewer taps and they don't rotate as frequently.. if at all.

there are now several bars on Washington St. (downtown Green Bay) that are featuring some solid craft beer lineups. Ned Kelly's and Libertine are the two i can think of off the top.

Thanks! I'm going to be in Green Bay Monday through Wednesday, so hopefully I can get to a few of these. I appreciate the advice! Cheers!

if you're really feeling adventurous, i suggest a trip to http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/28459

    here's my review:

    vibe: 3 | quality: 3 | service: 4 | selection: 3.5 | $$

been a while since i've been in but i can't imagine much has changed.

crammed in to the aisles you might find just about anything. nothing too rare or shocking.. but old stock of Dirty Old Man or 2008 CW Bourbon Barrel Stout.. stocked next to Steel Reserve and Hamm's cans.

if you aren't claustrophobic and don't mind sorting through a bit of a mess then this place is worth a stop.

seasonal releases hang around for a long time it seems. if they happen to get a Tyranena seasonal that you're hot for... and it's out elsewhere... check here. chances are they still have some.

i don't stop in often (mostly due to it being in a location i just don't get over to much) but when i do i always walk out with something. and usually something that made me say "huh, imagine that".

friendly folks. decent selection. worth a shot if you're hunting.

if you can handle the clutter and have the time to sort through the pile(s) of cases who knows what you might unearth.

I just visited Titletown and they had a pretty solid selection. Good food for a decent price (especially compared to the prices at some brewpubs). I had their "Green 19 IPA" which was pretty tasty.

Looks like my kind of place, and it's only mile or so from my hotel, if that far! I'll check it out. Thanks!
