I will be going to a family wedding this weekend and will be staying at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center at the University of Cincinnati.

I will only have Friday night available to visit a local establishment. Looking for recommendations on a place or two to grab dinner and a beer. Or maybe just a beer. Might be able to squeeze a second place after dinner. I have a car but don't want to travel too far.

Also any good beer stores withing walking distance of the Marriott?

    Thanks.

Since Abe Vigoda looks vaguely like me, I'm happy to help:

Visit Party Source (just over the river in KY) and go to Ei8ht Ball Brewing - they're awesome. Plus, Party Source has the best beer selection in the area by far.

I'd suggest the Christian Moerlein tap house downtown. Excellent tap selection (guest and in house) and food by a local brewer.

As mentioned in the above post by KevinL, Moerlein downtown is awesome, but I'd probably avoid it this Friday night since the Reds are in town playing the Cardinals. Moerlein is right next to the ball park and it can get insanely crowded on game days. If you wanna stay close to UC, check out The Brass Tap. Their food menu is small, but the tap list is great.

As far as bottle shops, take BorisKarloff's advice and go to the Party Source...it is definitely worth the short drive to Northern KY.

"Half Cut" is a new craft beer bar that just opened downtown. I think it's in OTR. We went opening night and it was amazing. It's super tiny, but has awesome bottles and taps and also has carry out sales.

I don't believe it has food.

If you can get over to Listermann's, there may still be bottles of Triple Digit - Pappy Chickow! available. It's well worth seeking out.
