I will be visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area (Embassy Suites-Downtown) the 1st weekend of November. I'm from Jersey and I'm looking for must have local beers and must visit local bars. Coming with a bunch of Eagle and Cowboy fans and we would appreciate any local help. Thanks in advance
Go to On Rotation for some great beer choices. They have both local and non. Also right next door is one of the best pizza places in DFW, Cane Russo. As for breweries you have plenty of choices to choose from.
First the pizza place is Cane Rosso. Second close to downtown is a part of Dallas called Deep Ellum. It is full of bars and clubs. And one of the DFW breweries is located there named appropriately Deep Ellum Brewing. Also the first Cane Rosso is located in Deep Ellum. But if ya do decide on visiting On Rotation shoot me message here and we could meet up.
On Rotation is cool, but there are options closer to you downtown. Cane Rosso in Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum Brewing in Deep Ellum. Pecan Lodge for great BBQ in Deep Ellum. Brain Dead Brewing in Deep Ellum. Craft & Growler near fairpark - basically Deep Ellum. Uptown has Common table, Ginger Man, British Beer Company. The Bottle Shop on Lower Greenville. Dallas Beer Kitchen on Lower Greenville. Great area overall. Aside from these two bars, there are several trendy restaurants with good food and serving local and national brews. A nice, walkable area. The Old Monk on Henderson. Strangeways on Fitzhugh. Meddlesome Moth in Design District off Oak Lawn (not terribly far from down town). I'd definitely hit up Community Beer Co. All of these things are relatively short Uber rides away. Also, for great burgers and a good beer selection: Rodeo Goat. Nice atmosphere.
awesome...I'm heading there tomorrow from Washington DC/Northern Virginia for a couple nights before a wedding in Richardson for the weekend. I'm staying in Deep Ellum. Sounds like a great place to stay. If anyone is interested in doing an IP trade, let me know!
sorry guys, for some reason I didn't get any notifications on this thread. had some of the Williamsburg Alewerks bourbon aged stuff.
