    Hi,

I will be hitting up Wash DC this weekend and I am looking for suggestions on spots to enjoy great craft beer - restaurants, breweries, bars, etc.

Appreciate any insight from the board. Thx!

I was in DC last week, Churchkey is a must. Went to Bluejacket before hand because Churchkey wasnt open and I wasn't impressed. The space is nice and the food is good but the beer was underwhelming. Aslin just opened up a beer garden nearby too.

Pizzeria Paradiso in DuPont Circle. A good tap list and some of the best brick oven pizza in town. Bluejacket is fine if you’re in the neighborhood but not worth a detour. Churchkey is a must for beer.

Obligatory Right Proper reference. Good burgers, too.

I second Right Proper. If I'm visiting the city and want to go to a brewery, I'd rather go to RP than Bluejacket. More chill vibe and more experimentation. BJ isn't bad and the space is incredible, but there's just something off there every time I go. The presentation seems a little too corporate and the beer is just missing that little extra. Don't tell me how many lbs of hops you used if you're not going to extract the flavor from all those hops.

I liked Paradiso for the beers, but I did not like the pizza.
