Looked around quick to see if there was a recent thread in a similar vein, and didn't find one, so apologies if this is repetitive of a recent conversation and I missed it.

Will be in Denver on May 22-23, and the night of May 25 (attending a wedding in Colorado Spring in between) and staying at the Curtis Hotel. We're definitely stopping by Wynkoop and Falling Rock, but was looking for:

    a) Any other gastropubs with a great bottle/draft selection in that general area? (it's a group of eight and about half of the group is into craft beer, so trying to find compromises with food/drink)

    b) What are your top local recommendations as far as what's on tap at Wynkoop and Falling Rock?

Thanks for the help in advance!

There are two threads about this on this first page alone. I'm sure nothing has changed in the day or two since those were updated. In case it has I would go to Old Chicago.

Actually, if you look through them, they're not asking about this at all -- seeing tons for bottle recommendations, trade possibilities and a hotel recommendations...

There are a ton of options in downtown Denver around LoDo (where falling rock is). If your looking for food and a good tap lineup I would check out fresh craft for sure, it's right now the street from falling rock. They don't have as many taps, but the lineup is always solid and the food is head and shoulders above anything at falling rock. Enjoy the city!

Since you'll be in CO Springs, make sure you don't miss Trinity. Check out the bottle selection at Falling Rock (won't be on the menu, I swear they only update that thing whenever they feel like it, which isn't often!) - the tap selection is usually great. Also check out Freshcraft just down the street from Falling Rock.

Thanks for the CO Springs tip too! Will see how soon we get there (it's an afternoon wedding).

And good to know on the Falling Rock list. A quick glance over just now showed a lot of things from CA or CO beers we get here, so will definitely be pouring over the list in-person once I arrive.

Doubling back on my initial post, I guess I should narrow things down a bit more:

What's on tap around this area of Denver right now that you all would highly recommend (and that doesn't usually make it out of the region)? And any limited releases coming up that I should be on the look out for while I'm there?

Thank you in advance for the assist.

I old imagine most of the kegs currently tapped will be gone by May 22-23. Why don't you check beermenus.com or the pub website the day before?

The local blogs like brewtallyinsane and denveroffthewagon do a great job of keeping people up to date with recent and future tappings and of course Beeradvocate Mountain forum. We're the best region.:astonished:

World of Beer in Cherry Creek is always a good choice with 50 solid taps (had a Pliny and a Biscotti Doughnut Break tonight..) amongst the greatest bottle selection imaginable (500+), and since they do not serve food you can order delivery from many nearby places or bring your own. If you end up there at some point hit me up and I'll buy you a brew.

Also in the Springs head to Brewer's Republic if you are downtown. They have a great selection for the area. Other than that Hops and Pie is always a great choice in Denver.
