Anyone have any tips on pickup from Fidens? Will they start selling out of cans before I arrive Saturday afternoon? Looks like I can order Friday just in case… just not sure if it’s necessary. Yeah yeah… of course it’s not necessary.
1) LOL good luck with parking. You will likely need to park a block or two away. 2) It doesn’t matter when you go, it will be busy, but the staff is fantastic and moves through any line very quickly. 3) Only real concern with can sellouts is if it’s something from last week that may be running low or if it’s a hype collab (Troon, North Park, etc) but otherwise you shouldn’t have a problem. 4) It doesn’t say so on the board but they do small pours and w/ 20+ tallies I’d recommend taking advantage of that. 5) Have fun! They did so good with this place and the staff and beers will take great care of you.
I'd rather a 2-block walk than having to use QR codes to access menus. Please tell me there's none of that at Fidens.
Seems like a few items have fallen off the board already. I placed an order for tomorrow, because I'll be disappointing my kids if they don't see me drinking killer beer over Thanksgiving.
Just an FYI they only allocate a certain number of cans to online sales. Just because something is sold out online doesn't mean it's not available for walk-ins.
Thanks all for chiming in with thoughts on Fidens. It was a pretty great visit last night, around dinnertime. The place was packed, but some longish lines went pretty fast as they really had it all covered. Picking up cans was a breeze. Most importantly, the beer was great, the best stuff we sampled all day (after visiting Wayward Lane, Unified Beerworks and SingleCut).
So I am planning my first trip to Fidens this weekend for some holiday cheer…has anything changed. Can I order in advance? Anywhere else nearby worth visiting?
Yes, you can order in advance. If you're coming from Jersey, I highly recommend you stop at Suarez on the way up. I can make other recommendations, but Suarez... that's the takeway.
I had a Vegan last night, canned about a week ago. Oh my. One of the best DIPAs I have had in a long time. Awesome beer.
How’s the new spot with parking, crowds. Gonna be there around 4-5pm on a Sunday. With the kids. Gonna grab drafts, food, and cans to go of course
Crowds? Fine. It’s a HUGE spot so you’ll have no issues getting a table. Parking? Hit or miss. The lot next door at that time you may get a spot you may not, but you’ll be able to find street parking within a block without much of an issue.
Get your online order in on Saturday. Fidens let's you do one day in advance. I don't know if things have changed, but the weekend cans were always whatever is left over during the week. Ordering on Saturday will give you the most options.
Sweet tip! Thanks. Looks like fidens holds for a day and alchemist holds for 2 days, so since I’ll be visiting them on Sunday and Monday respectively, ill be placing my beer orders on Saturday. Fidens needs to post their draft list. I know I can do the recent Untappd search, but I wanna see that damn thing laid out in all its glory.
