I'd add Big Storm to this, and possibly 7venth Sun (never been to the latter but heard good things).

7venth sun is in the across the bay list...I meant to list Tampa first, not Tampa bay...

Tampa is really becoming a fantastic beercation spot. They are becoming very dense, however the breweries tend to be more spread out that in other beercentric cities. Have transportation planned in advance.

I live in Miami and I am proud to say we are finally beginning to catch up in the craft beer game. Just opened 2 more breweries to take us to 4-6 in the area plus Due South and Funky Buddha within 45 minutes. I think in the next 3-5 years Miami is going to have an awesome beer scene and be the destination for people.

Enjoy wherever you choose to beercation!!

Really cannot overemphasize this point enough about the Tampa Bay area. A drive between Tampa and Dunedin, for instance, is upwards of an hour and goes through about a half-dozen police jurisdictions.

I generally suggest picking a cluster of breweries for a day (e.g., Dunedin, St. Petersburg, Tampa/Seminole Heights or Ybor City) and recognizing that you simply may not be able to visit every brewery during a single trip. Just means you have a reason to come on back!

Another option is something along the lines of Tampa Bay Brew Bus. It's NOT my company but they're good folks and they generally have tours going SOMEwhere most weekends.
