Hey guys, going to be traveling to Glendale CA this summer. Not familiar with the area at all. What are some good bottle shops I need to hit up in the area, and what brewery's do I need to hit?
Breweries: Golden Road Eagle Rock Bottle shops: Vendome Toluca Lake Whole Foods Bars: Tony's Darts Away The Glendale Tap Verdugo Bar
What UCLABrewN84 said, plus Bill's in Atwater Village (it's basically Glendale) as far as bottle shops. Also, get on the 210 and head into Pasadena and hit the Stone Company Store and maybe Congregation Ale House (since it's a block away) then head over to Vendome Pasadena and check out their selection. If you like street tacos, head to El Sauz (2-3 blocks from The Glendale Tap)--they're the best I've had in my 14yrs in L.A.
I will be staying with my buddy who lives in Glendale. We will be going to different areas in LA, We will be going to the Bruery, and to Taps Brewery. I will definitely have to keep my eye out for some fubu workout gear
GREAT call on TAPS. As outlined above, Glendale is a neighbor of Pasadena. Hitting up Lucky Baldwin's in Pasadena probably won't be a bad idea. It's British pub with a mix of the standard british beers, lots of Belgians, and some local or locally distributed stuff on tap. Been there for a long time. Go to the one in Old Town on Raymond just off Colorado Blvd (one of the main streets the Rose Parade goes down) and sit on the patio. Also would be a great place to be near for any World Cup watching if that's your thing (and get there early because it will be packed).
Yes on all this, except I'd do Lucky Baldwin's over Congregation any day. Also, Whole Foods Arroyo always has Fortunate Islands. Not that I drink it like water or anything.
Sigh, I wish this were true. It's been sold out the last two times I've stopped by. But generally speaking, it's there 80% of the time.
