Visiting Houston this Friday...we will be in Mid-Town area, by Hay Merchant. Besides Hay, what other good bars/restaurants should we hit up for some good beer and food? We will be there all day starting at noon. Also, any good tastings, tappings or events going on in that area this Friday? Thanks for the info, and Cheers!!
To buy beer, D & Q Beer Station is required. Plus, you have Karbach Brewery which has a restaurant on premises. For drink(cocktails), Anvil and Julep should be checked out.
If you are hitting up D&Q Beer Station you might as well drive another five minutes and hit up the Smith Street Spec's. Also, I've led some people from out of town to the Whole Foods Brewery in the Whole Foods on Post Oak Blvd. They have all really enjoyed it. Its a unique place to check out with some good beer... their own and other breweries.
