It used to be the norm that if your pour kicked the keg and it was not a full one then it's on the house but I've also seen less and less of this lately. I was at a local brewery recently and kicked it half pour and this partial glass sitting under the tap happened to me. It's a pretty large brewery to where the kegs are a good distance from the bar area. Beertender went back to switch the kegs, which took him a couple minutes, came back and started pouring the rest of the glass but he didn't hook it up right so walked all the way back to adjust then came back finally to finish up. Was probably gone a good 3-4 minutes for the process all the while by half pour was hanging out under the tap. I don't necessarily need a freebie but considering I was beerless I would have like the half pour, charge me half, and then I'll get another full pour when done.

Also, I'm guessing Veil NFK would be the same as RVA but when they kick kegs with no backups, are very busy, or just do it for who knows why they do can pours of the same beer for customers which isn't that big of a deal BUT the kicker is their full pours are 12oz so when they pour from the [16oz] can you still just get 12oz. I wonder what they do with the other 4oz. Do they dump it? If so, I wouldn't expect it to be too much to ask to just give the customer the full can as a courtesy, and to save waste, since most people want draft pours when visiting a brewery. It's one of my biggest gripes when I visit a brewery, order a beer )or see it listed on the menu as such) and it ends up being a can pour.
