Since we're going to be in Santa Monica the first day we decided to go to Father's Office, because I can't find anything better in the area. The second day I'm hitting The Bruery to pick up my RS allocations and ship them home, and figured I'd go to Mr. K's Liquors and Noble Aleworks while I'm in the area. I was also considering trying to swing by Verdugo Bar.

Are there any other places that I absolutely should not miss? I'm more of a beer and straight-whiskey type of guy, but a dude traveling with me is in to craft cocktails, so bars in that respect are of interest as well.

Is the Long Beach location better than Seal Beach?

In my humble opinion, YES! Not only does Long Beach have many guest taps like Seal Beach does, if you actually have a choice of where you can go, go to Long Beach and drink their house beers. I don't buy the "seal beach has better food." Went to seal beach for years, now go to long beach only, food's the same. But if you go to Seal Beach there's usally only a couple of their house beers on tap.

When going to Beachwood, it would be a huge mistake NOT to sample all their own beers, thus Long Beach is the clear winner IMHO

If you're really heading to Verdugo Bar, which is in Northeast L.A. (best part of L.A. imo), you should definitely hit up Glendale Tap, which is just a couple of miles up the road, and the Hermosillo / Highland Park Brewery. We're getting an awesome little cozy beer corner out here.
