Yes, I know about Green Diamonds coming in cans. As soon as it's released I'll be flying out to Brooklyn NYC to bring back cans of GD to SoCal. Had the chance to try some when I was back there in July. Had training at Newark airport for one day and made the trek into midManhattan for RnR and pub crawl looking for GD. I think its just as good as any West Coast IPA's here. And their other IPA's from what I here is just as good.

traffic currently looks like hot garbage (as per Google maps) - 50 minutes via 5 to Noble. maybe that will go away at 4pm?

Hard to judge with the holiday, but i doubt it will get better the closer to 5 you leave.

if I wasn't so nervous about trying to buy Huna Day tickets on my phone, I'd just go hang out at Bootlegger's until Noble is open

Not sure where you are coming from. Traffic is starting to pick up a bit right now in the Orange Crush. Overall just looks like one bad spot on the 5 between the 91 and the 605. That said, I was probably being optimistic to think traffic would be light this afternoon (although it was very light this morning).

I took my chances and cruised down to Bootleggers already. Smart move! They had wifi and I got my Huna Day tickets while enjoying a Far Out IPA! Boomshakalaka

If you still plan on hitting Noble, they just tapped Naughty Sauce which is a damn fine golden milk stout! Many other kicks ass brews on tap as well, Mosaic Showers, etc

If you're still in LA Tuesday do yourself a favor and get to Hermosillo for Smoked Griffith J Griffith. It's phenomenal.

One brewery you're missing from your map is Barley Forge Brewing. They're located at 2957 Randolph Avenue, Unit B, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.

They're a new brewery – not even a year old yet. I've been impressed with their tasting room, and their beer lineup is decent/good. They're mostly focused on ales, (d)ipas, lagers, and witbiers right now, but I understand they're already working on some barrel-aged stuff. I'm more of a stout guy myself but I liked their winter warmer, Fusty Puckett.

Trying to hit up Hermosillo/HPB this weekend - anything I can't miss? I've only had Wake Up which I thoroughly enjoyed

Bonkers IPA(simcoe hops) is pretty good as is the nelson DIPA(achiever). If they are still on check out Shake Up(Wake up w/ vanilla), and Uncultured(tart amber saison).

    If they're still on:

Shake Up, lactose and vanilla, it's amazing right now.

Bonkers and The Achiever, great IPA and DIPA.

    Uncontrollable

And maybe Uncultured, my friends like this more than I do, though.

Hahahah, @wuntrikpony beat me to the punch.

It's not just because I like these guys but they are really doing some nice things. While I like some of their wilder offerings I think that Hello L.A. is just about as good a session beer made and I'm not one generally for session beers. Personally, I'd advise that you sample everything - none of it's bad. Moreover, they may still have some bottles of their stuff available in their small fridge where you can find a few really nice things from other breweries, as well.

    Have fun.
