One night in Louisville. Where is the best place to eat and drink local craft? Also trying to stock up on some bottles and cans that are not available or distro in Northern VA. Looking for good bottle shops. Any help?

The Holy Grale for food and beer, Louisville Beer Store for bottles.

Heard good things about Sergio's too. Might have a little time to bottle hunt during the day.

By the way, love the name..."You Choose"

Sergio's is cash only, overpriced, and not a good place to IPA shop unless you're a stickler for bottle dates. That said, you might find something rare and wonderful.

Agreed on Sergio's, although he's usually got some interesting stuff on tap as well. I'd do Holy Grale or AtG to sit and drink; for bottles, if you're downtown, Beer Store, if you can travel, Liquor Barn.

Coming back on a week or so and wanted to see if anything is hitting the area or someone wanted to setup any trades

I don't think so. The Nate's was good stuff.

I picked one up at Whole Foods today. $8.99 and they had at least a case on the shelf 30 minutes ago.

Open to trading for some of those bottles if anyone's interested

Probably a case of Nate's at Evergreen as of 1 o'clock this afternoon.

I know I'm way late on this, but for anybody else in town for one night and looking for someplace to try local brews, stop by the Crescent Hill Craft House. It's a bit too "place to be" and noisy for me, but they keep a wide selection of local brews from Louisville, Lexington and Southern Indiana on tap. The food wasn't spectacular, but Frankfort Avenue, the street on which it is located, has some great dining spots.

Has Citra Ass Down been canned again, or will that be later in the summer?

There was just a Thrilliist article on local beers to drink this year which implied CAD was coming soon.

What's up, Kentucky! I'll be in town for a few days in May. Will be staying at the Residence Inn Downtown Louisville. I'll have a car and would love to hit up at least one great bottle shop while in town. Any suggestions for a shop that I must hit if I can only hit one? Also, AtG looks close...worth a stop?

Definitely Louisville Beer Store; it's close to you and probably the best bottle shop in Louisville. If you can travel a little bit, Keg Liquors is only about 5 minutes away from Downtown in Southern Indiana.

AtG is definitely worth a stop if you're staying that close.

You can walk to Louisville Beer store from there, the Keg is a solid, Sergio World Beers is an experience worth having, probably want to drive there but it's not that hard (get Google/Mapquest directions to help navigate the one way streets).

Thanks! Looks like I'll hit up Louisville Beer Store for sure.

Follow up question...is there another brewery near the downtown area that you'd hit over AtG or is that the spot?
