Good call on Ridgewood Wine & Beer - for some reason, they slipped my mind when responding to this thread.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I am only spending a day or so in each location, so far I am thinking of the following:
Wilmington: Lighthouse Beer Festival and Front St for dinner
Raleigh: Big Boss, Raleigh Brewing, Trophy, how is Boylan Bridge?
Greensboro: Bestway and possibly Mello Mushroom for dinner with some family.

I would personally skip Boylan Bridge - the views of downtown Raleigh are really nice but the food and beer are just average.

I'd look up Bull City Burger. Some nice takes on English Ales and really good food. I love Bestway it's my go to beer store, but on a Tight schedule why? Unless your mailing beer home or carrying it home. And Sticks and Stones is right across the street , good brews/ pizza too, and you won't have to go downtown.

Consider Sticks and Stones across the street from Bestway for dinner. Also, kid friendly. Mellow M is great, and downtown Greensboro is authentic old. Either way, you're good.

Yeah, I grew up outside Greensboro in the booming metropolis of Climax, NC.

Thanks for the heads up on Sticks and Stones and skipping Boylan Bridge.

Let's see, there's a Climax, High Point, and Horneytown cluster just south of Greensboro. Something in the water is the old story.

I'd say Busy Bee is a must-see in Raleigh.
