Visiting home in NC, headed to the beach so possible to hop down to SC area. Looking to bring home to CO some goodies. I've had nearly all Founders & Bell's, looking for suggestions of what to get that's available now. Most likely going to Brawley's & Common Market in Charlotte, but will also be near the coast, Ocean Isle, Myrtle Beach area.

Any CCB distributed that far up the coast in SC (near NC border)?

Any bottle shop recommendations in/near Myrtle Beach would be extremely helpful as well.

Looking for some stuff I don't get in CO, according to seekabrew:

    CCB, no.

can't speak to the current shelf situation, but i don't see why any of the ones that are in SC would be a problem (except maybe expedition, those brooklyns and Terrapin WNB).

If you can't get brews on your list from the Charlotte bottle shops or The Pig in Myrtle Beach, they're not available in NC/SC. Just a quick look at the list, but you'll need a truck to haul stuff back.

    OHB imperial stout...

We get knee deep? I've never seen it. Just got a bottle of Simtra in the mail from Cali today, looking forward to it.

Maybe I should clarify, I'm not looking for all that beer listed, I'm just looking for something I haven't had before that's available in the NC area, I was hoping for some recommendations of those breweries listed. I put in parenthesis what I've had before.

OHB Imperial Stout will be one I keep my eye out for, thanks!

If you come across a stray Foothills Bourbon Ages Porter grab it.
Caldera is everywhere it is a great IPA as is Smuttynose, should be available most anywhere.
Actually a good bit of your list I've seen at Bestway in Gso, you can also get good stuff at Harris teeters or Lowes Foods too.

It looks like you will be in the western part of NC. If you get to the Raleigh area I have Wake-n-Bake that I can spare.

I've pared your list down to the breweries we have (Hickory area) and what I'd recommend. Those without recommendations don't mean they are bad, just nothing comes to mind.

    21st Amendment
    Allagash -Curieux
Ballast Point (I've had Sculpin' & VatS) - Sea Monster
Bells (any Expedition on the shelf?) -If you see it, get enough to try fresh and a year later. Most anything they make is good.
    Big Boss
Blue Point -Toxic Sludge (I think this is long gone), Toasted Lager, and Rastafar Rye
Brooklyn (have BlackOPS, any Black Chocolate around?) -Sorachi Ace, Local 1
    Carolina
    Clipper City
    Coronado
    Duck-Rabbit - Hoppy Bunny
    Eel River
Foothills - Peoples Porter, you won't find Sexual Chocolate, Eclipse Stout,
    Founders -Everything is great.
Gordon Biersch -I think we get that...
    Harpoon
Highland - Little Hump Spring Ale
    Kona
    Magic Hat
    Matt (Saranac)
    Mother Earth (have Silent Night)
    Nebraska -Hop God, Black Betty
New Holland (had Mad Hatter & Dragon's Milk)
Olde Hickory (have Death by Hops & ESB) - Imperial Stout, Irish Walker, Table Rock, Black Raven, Saison Gee
    Peak Organic
    Pisgah - Solstice
    Red Brick (formerly Atlanta Brewing)
    Red Oak
    RJ Rockers
Smuttynose -Finestkind IPA, Big A, Gravitation, Robust Porter, S'muttonator, Shoals Pale Ale
Southern Tier (have Creme Brulee & Choklat) -Everything except the Krampus. OAT!
    Starr Hill
    Stillwater
    Stoudt's
    Sweetwater - IPA
Terrapin (any Wake-n-Bake around?) - Maybe in charlotte you'll find W&B, but make sure to get some Moo Hoo to cut it with, that combo is devine. Hopzilla is close to Pliny but has a messy finish. Rye Square, Hopsecutioner, Big Hoppy Monster, Midnight Project Peotch, Phlux compacitor is good but it gave me a splitting headache.
    Thirsty Dog
    Thomas Creek
    Weeping Radish -Black Radish
Weyerbacher (have Heresy & Insanity, might look for more Insanity) -TINY. tiny. Tiny. Did I mention Tiny?
    Wolf
    Yuengling (love this)

    Many Thanks![/quote]

    (Added)
    Natty Green - Cannonball IPA
Olde Mecklenburg - Captain jack Pilsener

Nice, I didn't realize Old Meck bottles. That reminds me I might need to get a bottle of NoDa's stuff too.

NoDa has only bottled one beer so far... They have stuff all around on tap, but only their Tri-umphant has been bottled. It is long gone as far as I know as it was a brewery-only release.

Probably not helpful, but I saw (and bought) some BA Old Ruffian from Sam's in Durham today. I was surprised it made it to NC.

I saw their Facebook post, but I'm out of town for the summer. What were they charging, what limit, and how much did they get?

I think it was $23 per bottle (750ml), limit 1. Not sure how much they got. There was half a case on the shelf yesterday so they probably got 1 or two cases if I had to guess.

Thanks. Maybe I'll treat myself to one when I go visit the wife in NC next weekend. I could just leave up there until I get back home full-time in August.
