Whens that batch of Coriolis from buddy... LOL, that sounds almost as bad as Delaney's putting Fuzzy Baby Ducks on like last week. Either way, Cask's list has been looking the best recently since @PrimeBeer has been away!

Lol...yeah, I spoke to the bartenders about it. Obviously it wasn't freshly brewed Coriolis but the distributor apparently just found it in the warehouse and let's be honest.....slightly old Coriolis is still better than pretty much any other beer out there.

And McLadden's put FBD on this weekend. Didn't go so well for them. I love how this community - and others - know when the beer is fresh.

I'm going to be passing by NEBCO this coming Wednesday and am considering timing it so I can get there when they open at 3 - thus far I've deduced from this thread that they might only have Sea Hag (which I've had multiple times) - can anybody update me on whether it's likely they'll have an array of stuff available, and what it might be? Thanks!

Haha....what happened? Nobody was buying it? I'm surprised. FBD carries so much name recognition now that I'd figure the lesser-informed beer fans would have still been drinking it up just so they could say that they did. I heard that they also had Lunch this weekend.

?? God forbid beer gets talked about on a beer website.

I saw it on so I had to get one, it wasn't nearly as good as it was several weeks ago. Too bad that they even took the keg and sold it. One pour and I was done, I expected more from a bar that really specializes in craft beer.

I don't buy the ol' "distributor FOUND a keg of Coriolis somewhere in the warehouse" answer.NEBCo beers are in such high demand nowadays, hard to believe kegs getting lost.Mikro probably sat on Coriolis just like a couple bars sat on Fuzzy Baby Ducks.

    Cheers

A VERY important thing to know, is that the brewery is NOT located on Amity road like google maps and the website says.....it is on Selden St.

They moved around December of last year. They are now right on Amity road in the same parking lot as the Jaguar dealership. Big sign on their building now too.

Ya I overlooked that and agree that they most likely did just sit on it, but either way a bar that specializes in craft beer shouldn't be sitting on a keg or buying old kegs. They seem to let cask beer hang around a while too I have noticed

Very important that no one listens to this post if they want to find the actual brewery. It used to be on Seldin street. It is currently directly on Amity Road.

Likely true. However, I had coriolis on Monday at Mikro and while it wasn't the freshest bestest perfectest moment in craft beer history, it was still quite delicious lol

Also I'll chime in on the beer talk (at the risk of it being ??off-topic??? on a beer website and getting deleted). Delaney's food can be quite good, but the service can be soooo bad in the tap room and sometimes it tastes like the lines arent clean. Its hit or miss, I find. Great when it is good, though. Mikro is my jam. A little pricier, but its also a little more upscale. Always good beer, and always awesome food. And while you're in Hamden, dont forget about the Outer Space, now serving food (pretty damn good, i'll say) and always great beer selection

I agree on Delaney's tap room service. They have one bartender (shorter dark hair....name might be Wendy or something) who is absolutely awful. Lazy....always socializing with her friends and ignoring customers....has no idea about the beers but still tries to talk as if she does. I've left after one beer multiple times due to her (lack of) service.

Also, I think the prices at Mikro are perfectly fine. I spend a lot of time at Craft 260, so I'm used to paying through the nose.

so funny. I was at the last nebco tap take over @ delaney's. i happened to get there a little early and after a cpl of young ladies tried using the same id they got booted and I was able to sneak in and grab a seat. as the event kicked off and the place filled to the brim, I was getting probably the best service of any body in the place. Ppl were three deep at one spot and they kept looking over at me wondering who (whom?) I was humping to get my beer filled as soon as my glass was empty. once the place settled down I asked what was up? he said he remembered me from the when the place first opened i how patient I was with him as a new bartender. i think those girls with the fake id pissed him off too.

there are a few places in the new haven area that "specialize" in "poor" service.. I don't know if delaney's is one of them but they're a few. lol. at one of them the only way to break the "poor" service you get is to fire back at them- a little bit. and nothing to serious either. some thing like " hey, who's leg do I gotta hump to get beer in this joint!" again nothing serious and hurtful just a little funny.

If you are male and the bartender is female, I suggest not saying anything about humping the bartender.
