Hey all, I'm planning on swinging through the brewery on the way from MA to my brother's in Monroe tomorrow.

Just wondering if they also sell their cans there as well? If not, anyone know of any stores that stock them in the Monroe/Shelton area? I'd like to bring some back to MA for some friends since I don't get down there very often.

No cans at the brewery, go around the block to amity wine & spirits. Not sure about Shelton/Monroe

Like anything else, it gets put in the warehouse with every other keg. Easy to get misplaced. I'm not sure that it matters about the hotness of the commodity, when it is in the warehouse it gets located like any other beer does. The guy taking inventory, or the guy using the fork lift, or the guy logging the location likely doesn't care about how great the keg is. While we can sit here and project the fact that it is a limited/hot release in reality the people who handle that commodity in the warehouse as a whole don't care nearly as much.

I guess I don't see the motivation for a distributor to hold onto a beer that he/she can sell immediately especially when that beer will fade over time, and have the potential to not sell as well once actually put on draft.

Having worked in and worked with lots of warehouses (in many different industries/products) over time I've experienced that even hot commodities can be misplaced/mislocated in warehouses. (We once found a case of beanie babies about 2 years after the craze was over for example).

Rebellins66 ......I suspect most shops in Fairfield cty (incl Monroe and Shelton) have Sea Hag, at a minimum. Many will also have the pils as well.

I know first hand that Al's Warehouse (51 Monroe Tnpke), near Monroe/Trumbull border, has both.

By brand they mean size. You get three fills total regardless of whether they're 1L or 2L growlers. That's how they were handling it on Wednesday at least when they told me it was due to being very low on beer and wanting to make sure things would last until they recovered from getting cleaned out pre-Fourth of July.
